We are deeply saddened to report that BCAPL National Referee Ben Lazenby of Thompson Station, Tennessee passed away last week.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to Joyce, his wife of 26 years, and to the rest of his family during this difficult time. 

In September 2007, Ben made history by attending the very first off-site national training class we conducted at Murfreesboro Billiards in the greater Nashville area.  After achieving National certification he was selected as one of the referees for the inaugural Qlympics event.  Ben was a true southern gentleman and we were fortunate to have him on our team, if only for a brief time.  He will always be fondly remembered as part of the BCAPL referee family.
