Subject: WIBCA Team Event Press Release 2007

 The WIBCA Team event was a huge success Feb 22-25,07 at Olympia Resort in Oconomowoc, WI even though we had a major snow storm come through over the weekend.  We had over 800 people competing in 9 different events with a payout over $17,000, this included added money of $4,200. It started Thursday evening February 22 with the Scotch Doubles and finished with the Team Events on Sunday February 25.

The Mixed Scotch Doubles had 45 teams, $2,600 payback ($350 added) and the Open Scotch Doubles had 18 teams $1,150 payback ($250 added) and both were handicap events with teams going to their power rating.

The 5 person team events also had some great competition. Men's Master/AA div had 18 teams, $4,150 payback ($1,000 added). Men's A div had 31 teams, $4,525 payback ($850 added). Men's B div had 51 teams, $5,625 payback ($450 added). Woman's Master/A div had 9 teams, $2,100 payback ($700 added). Woman's B div had 10 teams, $1,300 payback ($400 added). Hard luck tournament Men's A div had 8 teams, $480 payback ($80 added). Hard luck Men's B div had 12 teams, $720 payback ($120 added).

We would like to thank DR Pool and his staff for directing the event. The Michigan referee crew for the professional job they did. Liberty Pool Table Service . A big thank you to the staff and management of the Olympia resort for again being a gracious host.
